About us
When watching the news broadcasts on television one report caught my attention due to its heartbreaking content. The report announced the disappearance of a young woman – Sarah Everard – and that the police were asking for help to locate her. While watching the broadcast a thought crossed my mind, as I am sure it did many others. That thought was that if someone felt threatened, or was in a dangerous situation, there must be some way that a person could send their location quickly and easily to someone who they knew would immediately try to get them help. Along with their location the thought of photos and video information, which would be instantly sent to one or more of the contacts on their phone would be an additional tool to help locate them. At this time my own daughter was about to leave for university, which meant that I would not be around to protect her, so I started to think of what I could do to help and that is where the idea of a new App came to mind. The BeLioness project was born.
